Cute and Sexy – Runs Small and SHORT!,
This runs a little smaller than true size. I am an “8″ 100% of the time, and the M/L was a bit tight.
My husband was a big fan of this costume, but I was NOT able to wear it to the Halloween party without an added slip! I’m not super-modest, and my body is “OK”, but DANG! This dress is SHORT! Bend over slightly to pick up an appetizer, and you WILL be on the menu!
Probably didn’t help that I added a stiff, “tu-tu”-style, petticoat. But still. Look out for your dignity if you choose to leave the house in this one.
Don’t plan to leave the house? It’s PERfect! Enjoy!!

|Not quite, but still cute,
Ordered this for Halloween this year, and it’s a really cute costume. I went with this one over other Alice costumes listed because it does not display too much cleavage. I am 5’2″ with a pretty slender body but big hips (28″ waist, 37″ hips) and “C” cups, and I ordered the M/L. Everything fits fine except that it’s a little big in the shoulders and chest. Length is mid-thigh as pictured (although it would be a little longer on someone with narrower hips).
HOWEVER, this costume is NOT satin as it states in the description. It is a polyester/spandex mix. I was personally pleased by that, but I realize some might not be. I also ordered a short petticoat and thigh-high stockings to complete the costume.

|Cute BUT Runs BIG!,
I find it super confusing when I read costume reviews and see people saying it runs small and others saying true to size and others saying runs large…
So I can just tell you about my experience with this costume. It is by far the cutest Alice (and most true to character) costume that I could find.
I wear a size 2 in clothes, so I usually look for costumes that offer XS, and I was worried since the smallest offered was a S/M (size chart says size range is 2-8) so I took a chance anyway. It is so cute but it is too large everywhere, and will require some extensive tailoring (shoulders, arms, waist, everywhere).
If it was just a little big, I wouldn’t bother (example when a costume is Small (4-6), I usually wear it a little loose)- but this is WAY too big- so I don’t know what size this actually is, but I think it is safe to say that it doesn’t range 2-4 (I would guess at least a 6-8). I think they could just call it a medium and it would be more accurate.
I did choose NOT to return it since I liked the syle of this one so much more than others I could find. I expect that the tailoring will cost near what the costume cost, so I am not sure many others would have felt it was worth it for a costume.
This does seem to be decent quality, I would expect it to launder well and be able to be worn more than once. The headband that is included is super cute, but remember that it does not come with the knee/thigh highs that will complete the look. It also requires a petticoat to make it look full, and I bought a Triple Layer Tulle one by Leg Avenue (which looks just like the one in this photo- long and full) and it’s perfect since it adds length to the short costume (it hangs below the costume).
Bottom line, I highly recommend this costume since it is cute and seems to be well made, but if you are and X/S-S definitely expect to need to alter it, or maybe consider the ‘Leg Avenue’ brand costume since they offer smaller sizes (and they have have a nice fit).
It is so hard figuring out sizes online, so I hope this helps.
